Costco's Kirkland brand eggs have been recalled due to a potential salmonella risk.
Certain Costco eggs sold under the Kirkland Signature brand are being recalled due to a potential salmonella risk, according to a notice from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The recall affects Kirkland Signature Organic Pasture Raised 24-Count Eggs sold at 25 Costco locations across multiple states. A total of 10,800 egg cartons from Handsome Brook Farm, distributed starting on November 22, are included in the recall.
As of now, there have been no reported illnesses linked to the eggs, the FDA noted.
The affected eggs were sold in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The recalled eggs are packaged in plastic cartons labeled with the Kirkland Signature brand, with the UPC code 9661910680. The recall applies to egg cartons with Julien code 327 and a "use by" date of January 5, 2025, also printed on the package.
The FDA clarified that no other products are part of this recall.
